About Us

CC's Closet Co. was started by a 16 year old girl named Sierra Benayon-Abraham who has always had an interest in social entrepreneurship. Ever since the age of 6 she has been developing different businesses to foster this interest. Once she turned 10 she learned how to sew and started to design different products that she could then create. In addition, she has always been passionate about giving back to the community and making environmentally friendly choices. After many hours of trial and error, Sierra managed to design these bags and construct the patterns used to create them. Once the idea came to life to combine all these passions into one social enterprise business, CC's Closet Co. was born!

 After countless amounts of research and thinking, she chose the three organizations that the company would give back to based off of her volunteer experience at these organizations. Her love of animals, connection to children with Autism and commitment to giving back to the Jewish Community led her to chose the three organizations that the company currently supports. The name CC's Closet came from her nickname CC and the closet portion came from her love of clothing and fashion. 

Sierra is currently studying at UCLA achieving an undergraduate degree in Public Health with a minor in Entrepreneurship. In her spare time, Sierra does competitive gymnastics, enjoys leading clubs and committees at school and loves to sing and play guitar! Sierra hopes to continue to grow this business and thanks all of her customers for their support, it means so much to her! One of her favourite quotes that was always in the back of her head when starting the business was, "If you can dream it, you can do it!" -Walt Disney 

Each bag involves a sustainability and environmental factor when purchased. In every single bag, at a minimum, the top band and interior lining is designed to be made of 100% recycled fabrics. The recycled fabrics are sourced from a variety of different places, whether that be no longer in use clothing (t-shirts, shorts, etc...) or scrap pieces of fabric that were otherwise meant to be thrown away. Currently, sustainability in fashion has become a more discussed topic, and it is so important to CC's Closet Co. that we are producing products that are environmentally friendly.
